How to recover deleted files from your computer using LightSpeed PC

slow computer

If you deleted some important files from your computer and you want them back, there is a way you can recover them.

When you delete a file from your system, that file is not automatically lost. It is still on your hard drive, but you can't see it anymore in the folder it once stood in. If the file was sent to the recycle bin, then all you have to do to recover it is to push the restore button. But the tricky situation is when you empty your recycle bin or you “permanently” delete a file, using the shift-delete combination. Neither in this case the file is not immediately and, most important, permanently lost. When a file is erased, it means that the operating system considers it gone and it assumes that it can re-use the space formerly occupied by that file. But that space is not immediately used for other things, so the file is still there.

If you will try to recover the file just after you deleted it, your chances of success are close to 100%. But, if you let time pass and your hard drive is almost full, the chances decline. Operating systems try not to use the space of the deleted files right away in order to allow you to recover them, but if there's no space for new tasks, it will over write that specific space faster. Thus, it is very important not to use the partition in question (i.e. copy files, save documents on it) because there is a chance that the new information will be written over the space containing the files you want to recover.

As your operating system does not include undelete software, you will have to use separate software for this operation. LightSpeed PC has a deep knowledge of the way Windows works and can pin point the location of a deleted file. Due to its sophisticated search algorithms and preview modes, you can verify that the search returned exactly what you wanted. Also, if the deleted file is partially corrupted, with LightSpeed PC there is a chance you can recover what's left of it.
